Liming Li
Li Liming, M.D., M.P.H., is the principle investigator for CIH in Zhejiang, China. He is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Peking University Health Science Center. Dr Li is also the former Dean of the Peking University School of Public Health, the founder Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and NCDs consultant in the WHO Western Pacific Region. Dr Li has more than 15 years experience in the NCDs comprehensive community-based intervention research. Since the 1990s, he has actively engaged in the research of NCDs prevention and control. He is the principal investigator of the National NCDs Comprehensive Community Based Intervention Demonstration Program (Ministry of Health PRC) and the Community Based Comprehensive Prevention and Control for Hypertension in China (CCPACH) (Ministry of Science and Technology PRC). He is also the Chinese principal investigator of the Kadoorie Study of Chronic Disease in China. He is also the PI for the community-based Comprehensive Prevention & Control for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases (5C Study). Dr Li has had extensive research experience both in China and the U.S. and brings consummate knowledge of China's public health system to the investigative team.
Jun Lv
Jun Lv, M.D., Ph.D, is an epidemiologist and associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Peking University Health Science Center. Dr Lv received her Ph.D degree in epidemiology at the Peking University in 2003. While she was studying for the Ph.D, she accumulated a lot of experience on epidemiological design, field investigation, quality control, statistical analysis, and molecular biology laboratory work. From 2005 to 2006, she went to University of California, Los Angeles to receive 9-monthes training on biostatistics. Meanwhile, she received advanced knowledge and experience of international NCDs prevention strategies and public health education. Over the last five years, she has become very interested in policy development and bridging research and public health practice. This has involved researching essential public health functions and core competencies of public health professionals. She is currently the project co-ordinator for Community Interventions for Health (CIH) programme at the China site and is working extensively in the Community-based Comprehensive Prevention & Control for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases (5C Study).
Siyan Zhan
Siyan Zhan is at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Peking University Health Science Centre. She is involved in community-based prevention and control of chronic disease in China, particularly those that address hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Siyan is currently a team member of the CIH project in China.
Quingmin Liu Quingmin Liu, M.P.H, Deputy Chief Physician, is the director of the Department of Chronic and Non-communicable Disease Control, Hangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Director Liu is also the graduate instructor of Public Health Department of Zhejiang University, part-time professor of Medicine School of Hangzhou Teachers College, member of the second session of professional committee on NCDs and professional committee on injury of Zhejiang Preventive Medicine Association. Director Liu received her MPH degree in epidemiology at Harbin Medical University in 2003. She has 8 years experience in the prevention and control of infectious diseases and disease surveillance. Since 1995, she has been engaged in the comprehensive prevention and control for NCDs. In recent years, she has taken part in setting and revising the norms initiated by Ministry of Health and Chinese CDC in areas such as "Disease Preventive and Control Norm on NCDs (2001 version and 2008 version)", "Norms on community-based health files and the individual intervention", "Norms for NCDs management in community" and "Norms on Community-based Prevention and Control for hypertension". Director Liu is the CIH co-ordinator based in Hangzhou.
